This project was designing a poster for each of the seven samurai, from Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. The idea was to have limited theater showings of the film, to promote a very important film that influenced quite a lot of later films, especially since not many people have seen it.
The Design of the posters was intended to keep the beauty and simplicity of black and white, while adding a certain Japanese flair with the color choices.
This here is a banner which would hang from the walls at whichever location the film is showing. The design was to echo back to the back flag banners worn by samurai, to denote which clan they belonged to.
